When I started citizen journalism site my friends always asked me some questions and always had something to add to make me think it’s wrong.

They sad there are few issues which will make my work hard and maybe worth. And they were right. But so was I, at least I think so.

There are few troubles, not so small, in being a citizen journalist. First you almost always have little or limited budget. Then usually you are on your own, without a team and group of people who help you in working process.

Another one is location. I was always wondering if people would be interested in reading news from other parts of country. Example is like if you live in Houston would you read what happened in Boston?

And when you go deeper you get more than confused. Then we have language barrier and how to surmount it. One may be from Japan and his English may be poor but he just simply loves being citizen journalist. So how can he write anything when he can’t spell properly?

Now I have few answers for all these questions. When you start some business, any business, unless your family is rich, you always need more money than you have. It is simple like that. You’ll manage.

You are alone but after a while you’ll get your group of people with similar interest and you’ll share all with them.

And for that location trouble. World is changing so everything is changing. Why wouldn’t we read about other cities or countries or continents? I want to know what’s happening in Africa or Europe, not to mention my own country.

And not to be modest we all know that English is almost The internet language. Everyone who uses internet knows English and learns it by using.

So maybe I’m too one-sided, but I think that every problem can be solved with a help of people and time. Nothing can be done for one day or night. It takes time and work and strong will.
