Modern times and unstoppable tech development made a clear path for everyone towards internet and free access to information. All that lead to many new services and other useful tools among which appeared citizen journalism. Citizen journalism is when ordinary people who aren’t reporters write about events around them that are important and significant for them and their local community. That’s another way for ordinary people to express their opinion and their vision of various events from the first hand and from their point of view, and to do it in their own way and words. The possibility itself to say in public “I think of that…” puts you in the center of action and in some way gives you an active part in events. Development of citizen journalism and its existence before internet was unthinkable. Even before 2.0 sites where members by themselves create contents, it was unthinkable that citizen journalism will experience progress. Now great number of users, through their blogs, social bookmark sites and citizen journalism sites, give the picture of the world we live in. We aren’t forced any more to listen formal news which other media offer us and without active role. Even commenting some news gives you the right to feel and think as citizen journalist.
