Enjoy in our interview with Nick Cooper:

Q: How and when did you get the idea to start oneconvo?

A: Recent world changing events can be attributed to activism over blogs and micro-blogging sites such as twitter. My passion for collaboration, social media and activism led me to look for a place that unites quality citizen journalism. I decided to create the idea myself when I could not find an adequate citizen journalism or social blogging service.

Oneconvo has recently relaunched as a tool for journalists and bloggers to gain exposure quickly. The news site will hopefully become a valuable platform for future world changing reporting.

Q: What kind of service oneconvo offers to the public?

A: Oneconvo is a social, citizen journalism, and online newspaper, free for both writers and readers of alternative news.

Anyone can post on the website. The general idea is that the highest quality and most engaging content will become the most prominent.

For writers of quality and engaging content, oneconvo is their fastest route to gain exposure and recognition as the audience is already established through oneconvo.com.

Q: You have interesting name. Tell us more about it.

A: Oneconvo is a platform for debate. Users are encouraged to comment and debate articles posted on the website, making the site a place for one conversation on any world topic.

Q: How would you describe citizen journalism in five words?

A: Collaborative, social, unrestricted breaking news

Q: Your expectations, plans and goals for oneconvo.

A: The site is continually in development. We hope to implement a range of new features such as improved video posting, fact verification services and other tools for journalists.

Oneconvo plans to be the go-to place for news alternative to the traditional media.

Q: Citizen journalism in the future - the way you see it.

A: The last few years have been a period of growth and discovery for citizen journalism. A large number of start-ups have emerged with various tools for journalist and bloggers, such as verification services and geo-tagging.

These services will mature and become more mainstream, bridging the perceived gap between professional journalism and citizen journalism. Oneconvo aims to lead the exciting and promising future of citizen journalism.
