Researchers in Europe have developed a paint coating that may never need washing. Dr. Catarina Esteves at the Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands has developed a functional paint coating that is made up of nano-sized molecular groups that will resist water, dirt and is even scratch resistant. Dr. Esteves estimates that the product could make it to market within seven years and would not be overly costly.
