CNN starts new tradition, iReport citizen journalism awards. They announced that winners of iReport Awards will be chosen in March and the contest begins now. Awards are listed in six categories: Breaking News, Original Reporting, Compelling Imagery (photos or video), Commentary, Personal Story, and Interview. Some glamorous news about citizen journalism awards. Like we mentioned in one of our previous posts:Annual prizes for citizen journalists, it happened. Citizens who wanted to be more, who wanted to make a change, bring something good to them and to others received thanks for their work. And it wasn’t just thanks, they received awards.
