citizenjournalismI don’t know why journalists feel citizen journalists like a threat? It should be opposite. Because journalists have on their side professionalism, experience, more money, big corporations and companies, whole organization.
So why do they think that citizen journalism is something wrong?
There is no one good reason for it, especially since the crisis in printed media didn’t certainly create citizen journalists but their old content comparing to electronic media.
Every interest, so as journalists, sometimes falls into a crisis, but simply journalists should look kindly on citizen journalists because in some way it’ll be better for both sides. Simple as it is, desire for information is increased.
When you put it that way, there is no reason to deny information to ordinary reader because some disagreement.
In defense for citizen journalists I must say that lot of obstacles can be solved and many things can be learned during work.
Citizen journalism will never do investigative journalism so this whole journalist profession will exist for many many years.
There is place and space for everyone, all we need is good organization and good intentions.
