I have always thought that it can’t be simpler than this.
Citizen journalism – name itself says it all.
It is journalism for citizens by citizens. In a good way, of course. Because I think there is no better way to find out something or hear some news than from a real source or from someone close.
Who better can tell his neighbors than me about robbery in a building near by, constructions on the street, car crash or even unkind pizza boy whom you would really like to avoid.
It should be so easy. To inform your fellow citizens about new – old things. Like a friendly gossip without a coffee.
So not complicated.
Yet, people still find it easier to wait and hear news on some TV station or radio.
That’s fine, but why not involve yourselves? Become a part of one great process. It just takes one tiny step to start something that can be your new hobby or maybe even new profession.
Presenting news to people can be exciting and thrilling, almost like a challenge. It can certainly only do you well. You can enrich your life and your creativity.
We just have to know one thing – news isn’t a privilege, it’s everyday.
Simple, isn’t it.
