Great ideas can come over night or as a product of hard work and planning. But no matter how, often you think that’s it and no more new ideas.
Fortunately, every now and then new, fresh ideas pop up.
Citizen journalism has this privilege to be in the center of realizing one very interesting idea. Related to citizen journalism or maybe creating new citizen journalists here what happens.
Joina Properties, successful property company based in South Africa and Zimbabwe, has wonderful idea how to make unique marketing.
They are launching their magazine ‘Living The Dream’ and they want to invite home owners from South Africa and Zimbabwe to show their homes to the world.
On their Joina Properties site they say:

Joina Properties is looking for budding presenters and house proud home owners in Zimbabwe and South Africa to send us videos that give a flavour of what it’s like to live in your town or surburb.

This is an invitation for citizens, to take their cameras and find that great angle of their house, catch the right moment and find out how talented they are. Reporting about your own house this way is definitely new thing.

Joina Properties have also some advices more, like:

* put your best Kevin McLoud head on and enthuse about architecture
* put your best heels on and give a Kirsty ‘n’ Phil flavour of a town
* put your best Lloyd Grossman voice on and take us through your keyhole.

So, if you have a house in Zimbabwe or South Africa, try some citizen journalism, it can be fun.
